In collaboration with @unfpaturkiye & @sabancıvakfı we have set out to contribute to the prevention of child, early, and forced marriages.
Through workshops for men, field visits, and a documentary project in Çınar and nearby villages, we aim to strengthen gender equality and children’s rights together.
Through this project;
Field visits will be conducted to meet with local actors in the villages, identifying community needs and expectations on-site.
Two-stage awareness sessions with men will discuss gender equality, the consequences of child, early, and forced marriages, and alternative models of masculinity.
Throughout the project, a professional team will document the entire process, producing both a documentary and a series of interviews.
In the closing event, the findings, documentary, and interviews will be shared publicly.
The results will be conveyed to relevant institutions and NGOs to develop lasting and actionable policy recommendations.
UPDATE: 20th of April, 2026
We have completed the fieldwork for our project, “From Silent Acceptance to Active Struggle“!
In this project, carried out in collaboration with Çınar Municipality and supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Sabancı Foundation, we organized awareness workshops for men in 10 villages in the Çınar district of Diyarbakır, focusing on forced early marriages.
These workshops addressed the psychological, sociological, and health problems caused by early marriages, and aimed to raise awareness about the role of early marriages in child abuse.
