Cultural Solidarity and Adıyaman Komur 1st Children and Youth Festival
It is with great pleasure that we would like to inform you that we have started the “Cultural Solidarity and Adıyaman Komur 1st Children and Youth Festival” project, which we will carry out for 12 months with the cooperation of Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, Kömür Municipality Partnership, Amed City Theatre and Ma Music Center!
We are building a 257 m2 Culture-Art Center / Place in the town of Kömür in Adıyaman, which includes a 105-seat theatre hall and workshop areas where various culture and art activities can be held!
Then, we will realise our project with the participation of a total of 200 children and young people in Adıyaman and Diyarbakır with the themes of “Natural Rhythm Orchestra” workshops, “Children’s Voices Choir” workshops, “Women’s Voices Choir” workshops, “Acting” workshops and “Creativity Workshops” such as Handicrafts, Technology and Design, Caricature, Photography.
In the finale, workshop productions and contents will be exhibited at the “Adıyaman Kömür 1st Children and Youth Festival”, which will last for 3 days with the participation of many non-governmental organisations and hundreds of people.

Komîr Culture and Art Center Inaugurated!
Under the leadership of our association, a new culture and art center was built in the town of Komîr in Semsûr. The Culture and Arts Center began its service with a ceremony held on Friday, May 24. The Center aims to ensure that children and young people in the earthquake-affected region have access to quality culture and arts activities and discover their talents in culture and arts.
The project is carried out under the leadership of our association and in partnership with Semsûr-Komîr Municipality. In this project, cultural and artistic activities will be organized in Diyarbakir and Komîr town with the aim of contributing to the normalization process after the earthquake.
As part of the project, a culture and arts center was built with the support of the Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). At the Komîr Culture and Arts Center, we will organize music, theater and creative arts workshops for children and young people with the support of project partners Ma Music Center and Amed City Theater, which have been operating in Diyarbakir for many years. The performances that emerge from these workshops will be staged at the 1st Komîr Children and Youth Festival, which will be held for the first time in Komîr in the fall.
The First Step of the Komîr Children and Youth Festival is Taken!
Our association is starting educational workshops and trainings for children at the Komîr Culture and Art Center. Ma Music Center, which has been operating in Diyarbakir for many years, will contribute to the project with music, instrument and rhythm lessons; and Amed City Theater will contribute to the project with theater and acting training. In this way, we aim to provide children and young people between the ages of 5-20 living in the town with access to quality culture and arts activities, as well as the opportunity to discover their talents in this field.
The materials and demonstrations produced in the workshops, will meet with everyone living in the town and neighboring regions in a festival called the 1st Komîr Children and Youth Festival in the autumn months.
This festival was conceived with a large number of partners, including the local government, and we aim for this festival to contribute to the cultural and artistic ecosystem of the region and to continue to develop.
