Together Again with the Power of Culture and Art!
Following the earthquakes of February 2023, the Kömür Cultural Arts Center, which we established, continues to grow with increasingly enriched activities. For many years, we have worked with disadvantaged groups to promote cultural rights in their mother tongue.
One of our primary goals has been to create spaces where children and young people can express themselves through culture and art in their own language.
In line with this goal, we will continue our activities throughout 2025 at the Kömür Cultural Arts Center with the support of VAHA III. As Huner Hub, we see this project as a collective story of solidarity. Continuing cultural-art activities and creativity workshops with children and young people in Kömür after the earthquake has been crucial for us.
It has been a privilege to witness the discovery and transformation of their talents. Now, with the support of Anadolu Kültür Foundation, we are thrilled to accompany them as they take this transformation to another level.
Our Workshops
The workshops we will conduct over four months to help young people develop their artistic skills:
- Led by the Music Family Association:
- Natural Rhythm Workshop from Recycled Materials with 10 young people aged 14-18
- Choir Workshop with 10 young people aged 14-18
- Led by Amed City Theater:
- Theater Workshop with 10 young people aged 14-18
- Led by the Before Children Association:
- Photography, Drawing, and Cartoon Workshops with 10 young people aged 14-18
We believe that art is not only a tool for entertainment but also the most powerful way to express oneself freely.
With this belief, we continue to keep the Kömür Cultural Arts Center alive as a space for expression for children and young people as part of VAHA III.
We are building the future together, strengthening through culture and art!
